    Peripheral neuropathy is the result of a damaged nerve that connects to the brain and spinal cord. Those with peripheral neuropathy typically describe the sensations associated with it as tingling, burning or numbness and pain in their hands and feet.  Peripheral neuropathy can be the result of traumatic injuries, infections, metabolic problems and exposure to toxins. One of the most common causes is diabetes.

    Join Houston neurologist and Peripheral Neuropathy expert Kazim Sheikh, M.D., on Thursday, March 29 from noon to 1 p.m. You will learn about the symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy and the best available treatments for it.  Dr. Sheikh will also discuss the link between Periperhal Neuropathy and diabetes, and he will be available to answer questions from the audience at the end of his presentation.
